What is “Good Stress?”

Stress is a transactional experience between you and your environment.

This process involves your unique cognitive appraisal (meaning, your PERCEPTION) of the experience based on your prior learning (your PAST) and your perception of self-efficacy (your FUTURE). Which means, if you think you’re super capable, strong, resilient and you have the physical and emotional tools to MEET THE DEMANDS of the moment, then maybe the Stressor isn’t so stressful. Stress research calls this “eustress.”

Eustress is a positive challenge; you’ll still experience an increase in heart rate, breathing, muscle tension and strength. But, instead of being freaked out, you’ll also experience increased alertness, energy, cognitive function and positivity. Eustress is the “Optimal Performance” zone. This is awesome because yoga classes that physically challenge you at YOUR LEVEL keep you in the GOOD STRESS ZONE.

Choose from a wide variety of my pre-recorded classes to meet your needs and find that good Eustress zone!
