“Most of us move through life yearning for freedom and space to ‘be ourselves.’  Yoga provides an individualized architecture that is based on thousands of years of collective wisdom to help us do just that. Teaching yoga is teaching people to genuinely heal, love, and be themselves,” Lisa explains.

Lisa holds a Master’s Degree in Education and undergraduate degrees in both Education and Religious Studies. In 2016, Lisa graduated with her RYT 500 hour Credentials with a specialization in Yoga Therapeutics through The Integrated BEST OF KCInstitute of Yoga Studies (IIYS).  She is an expert in spinal anatomy and using yoga as a functional therapy for back pain and spinal injuries. In 2015, she won the Critic’s Choice Award in The Pitch for Best Yoga Teacher in Kansas City. Her studios, Maya Yoga and Westport Yoga were reader’s choice “Best of KC” Yoga Studios in both 2014 and 2015.  Westport Yoga was featured in SELF magazine as one of 14 studios in the country changing the way we think about yoga.

She currently serves as a Lululemon Athletica  Brand Ambassador and trains professional NFL players in Kansas City.

Lisa Ash Drackert studied extensively with Renee DeTar of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Yoga Studies, Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga Medicine, Kate Sargent of Westport Yoga, Kathleen Kastner-Mortenson of Maya Yoga, Gretchen Robinson of Progressive Power Yoga, and Rusty Wells of Urban Flow Yoga.

yoga: “to yoke”

To find union. To create a life filled with hope, health, and happiness that Inspires the body and mind to connect with, nurture, and honor the inherent Divinity in each and every creation.

The practice of yoga is a practice of listening and of bringing more God-minded light into this lived experience. Come practice with me; leave inspired.”
