Yin Yoga Benefits
What is Yin Yoga?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory, there are two dominant energies: Yin and Yang.
These two energies transmute into each other and they support each other.
Yin is characterized as deep, slow, low, rhythmic, dark. Yang is characterized as shallow, active, fast, varied, light. Within our bodies, optimal health is only achievable when we have a balance between Yin and Yang energies. In Yin Yoga, we utilize long holds of yoga poses and slow transitions to help us achieve balance. Want to learn more?
