Winter Recovery Yoga

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is characterized by YIN energy.

This is the time to focus your self-care activities on helping your physical body store up vital essence for continued health through the end of the season. --- According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the elements of the environment are mirrored within our physical body. Water is the key element during the winter season.--- The water element is connected to the kidney and bladder meridian lines, both of which move fluids in our body and are vital in maintaining energy output and immune health. This energy is nourished by introspective practices like yin yoga, meditation and stillness. It can also be supported by soaking in warm water, drinking herbal teas and keeping nasal cavities moisturized. --- Learn more in my Pre-Recorded class called “Winter Recovery Yoga.” This is my signature class style of Myofascial Release, intelligent breath-based flow and healing Yin Yoga followed by Meditation
