One of My Client’s Most Common Complaints

One of the most common complaints I hear from clients is that they feel “stiff and sore.”

Typically, if someone isn’t experiencing an acute injury, the soreness tends to be related to inefficient movement patterns (or not moving at all!), the rebuilding tissue process that follows physical overuse (like, after lifting weights), or just… well… being an adult human whose collagen reuptake processes are just not what they used to be at 17.

Yoga Therapeutics is the BEST solution to Softening Soreness because we can use long- held stretches to reduce inflammation, gentle movement to encourage tissue hydration, Myofascial Release to alleviate joint stiffness and breathwork to calm the nervous system.

Here are 3 Featured Classes on my At-Home Yoga Therapeutics Subscription to “Soften Soreness.”

“Soften into Spacious Awareness” Class

In this Yin Yoga Practice, you'll soften muscles and joints with long-held postures and extended exhale breathing. Enjoy stretching your feet, your thighs, your hips and chest with deliberate, soft awareness. You'll also practice a guided meditation from Jack Kornfield and the mantra, "Soft Inhale, Deep Presence."

“Replenish and Release: Back Body” Class

Postural muscles are prone to stiffness and stagnation due to overuse and the demands of gravity on your spine. This class targets the tissues that line the back of the body through Myofascial Release and Yin Yoga. You’ll use MFR tools to stir up circulation around specific areas of tightness and then use long, passively held stretches to elongate tissues into a more cohesive and healthier configuration.

“Replenish and Release: Front Body” Class

This class targets the tissues in the front of the body-- your chest, belly, thighs and hip flexors-- through Myofascial Release and Yin Yoga to soften soreness.
