Myofascial Release is a healing technique that targets the connective tissue and fascia systems to decrease pain, improve range of motion, restore joint mobility and build tissue integrity through hydration and healthy stress.

Learn:

  • to safely apply Self Myofascial Release techniques into your yoga practice

  • evidence-based research about the science of fascial health and connective tissue

  • how to locate and address common trigger points and pain referral patterns

  • MFR techniques to alleviate pain related to poor posture, dehydration of tissues and overuse with improper alignment

  • breathing (pranayama) exercises that induce the Relaxation Response in the nervous system and positively affect the health of our connective tissues

In this course, you will learn how to:

  • explain the physiology of fascia and the importance of the fascial health

  • harness the mental and physical benefits of Myofascial Release

  • hydrate and heal connective tissue through the use of S-MFR tools such as RAD Roller products, yoga blocks and yoga bolsters

  • Incorporate S-MFR techniques into your yoga practice

  • identify common trigger points that cause referral pain and use S-MFR techniques to reduce discomfort

  • practice pranayama and systematic relaxation techniques to restore nervous system functionality and positively affect the health of connective tissues

Weekend Schedule:

  • Friday: 4 pm - 7 pm

  • Saturday: 9 am - 7 pm

  • Sunday: 9 am - 4 pm
    (+ breaks for lunch)
